DANSK Fashion Awards

On May 20th, 2009, Baum und Pferdgarten received the prestigious DANSK Fashion Award for Best Danish Brand. The award ceremony was hosted by DANSK Magazine at one of Copenhagen’s premier art museums, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.

DANSK Fashion Awards honoured 14 different categories. Each category comprised of three nominees and winners were selected from a panel of judges that consisted of editors and directors from all high-end fashion and lifestyle media in Denmark. This year noted international judges included Fashion Director of Style.com, Laird Borelli and Fashion Director of the Daily Telegraph, Hilary Alexander. 

The DANSK Fashion Awards is considered Copenhagen’s fashion event of the year with a red carpet production and A-list turnout. Baum und Pferdgarten were awarded in the company of 250 handpicked guests that included celebrities and key members of the industry. Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and the Minister of Finance and Commerce, Lene Espersen, were also honoured guests in attendance.

Creative Directors of Baum und Pferdgarten, Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, were presented the award by Christian Scherfig, Director of Danish Design Centre (photo above).

DANSK Magazine and Style Council first created the award and organized the event in 2008 and will continue to celebrate the growing talent in the Danish fashion industry each year.

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is regarded as one of Northern-Europe’s finest museum buildings for its ambience and unique architectural combination of elaborate elegance and simplicity.
