Autumn/Winter 2010

WARDROBE OF A LIFETIME

The Autumn/Winter collection, 2010 by Baum und Pferdgarten is a mix of casual coolness and feminine elegance, with rich references and quotations, moving in time from the 60’es to the 80’es.
Classical tailored styles have been retold in a more soft expression and have gained new life according to ultra short lengths and the oversize boyfriend blazer. The military-inspired coat and the short wool jacket combined with dresses and shirts in light materials such as silk and crepe chiffon emphasizes the structure in the materials and point out a look that is both elegant and relaxed at the same time - leaving the famous signature of Baum und Pferdgarten.
The minimalistic characteristics of the 60’es are represented according to miniskirts, short tailored jackets and a coat in Scottish-tartan. While a chunky hand knitted sweater and a shearling-vest takes you back to the 70’es embracing a time when the will to dare meets a new desire of freedom. Decorative frills and gold zippers transform basic styles such as the petite cardigan and an oversize t-shirt into feminine and elegant must-have-pieces for your wardrobe.
The main elements of the collection are luxurious qualities of wool, washed lamb, and hand-knitted knitwear. Light materials such as crepe chiffon, glossy silk and eye-catching prints, create a creative overall look. While ultra light jersey and a harsh wash on poplin and cotton adds a used look to the garments with a tribute to vintage.
Monochrome colors such as black and grey complimented by army-green and pale pink has been breached with amethyst purple, sharp pink and a wide palette of blue. The feminine flower-print has been replaced by a digital rose-print on a black background, radiating a raw and extremely sexy attitude, while a Liberty print contributes with a playful extravagant explosion of pink, blue, green and yellow.
